The East Coast Trail Association and the Trans Canada Trail, with the support of the Government of Canada, invite you to a Canada 150 Celebration Event to be held at Cape Spear National Historic Site on Saturday, September 16, 2017.

The East Coast Trail has joined with the Trans Canada Trail to become part of The Great Trail, the longest recreational trail in the world. With the inclusion of the East Coast Trail, the most easterly point of The Great Trail is now Cape Spear.

To commemorate this alliance, and, to celebrate Canada’s 150 years as a nation, we will be offering a couple of self-guided hiking options near Cape Spear starting at 10:00 am. Following the hike there will be a social event and refreshments from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
